This is a simple truth, but actually few will realize it. Too many meditation is a waste of time in a hurry, hurry world. That is unfortunate, because there is no need to hurry, but few realize it.
The world is our creation and built on the energy of our beliefs. We are what we think, and our life is a mirror of them.
A painful life of torment is due in large part to a mind full of torment, guilt and pain. A joyous life is filled with acceptance, nonjudgement and surrender.
Too most of us this seems paradoxical, but that is because of our divided nature and the separation of our thoughts from our feelings.
We only see half the story of life, our life.
Now, about the battery.
A battery is an example of the need for meditation and how we can recharge our life.
A battery has two sides, one is positive and the other negative.
Batteries wear down if they are not recharged. We can wear down if we do not recharge with hope, faith or awareness. The positive side of a battery symbolizes the energy needed to live our life and it is drained slowly by living. The demands of living are harsh at times.
To recharge our lives, we must tune into a larger power source symbolized by the negative or minus side of the battery. We should do this often or as the need arises.
Meditation is a cessation of outer life activity to recharge our life force with the greater force of the universal consciousness. It is to recharge our lives with hope and awareness, because life is filled with struggle and doubt due to our minds judging and a failure to accept our life lessons or karma.
Our ego will resist change and usually see things from a negative view. This struggle within us is what drains us or negative thinking. Life is not against us; we are against ourselves and life at times.
To recharge our lives we need silent time, not to think, but feel. Feeling, deep feeling is a door into infinite conscious awareness. This builds the trust needed to encounter all of life’s struggles and win.

Excellent metaphor for recharging ourselves in meditation! Well done!
