A change in consciousness is troubling to our ego and its identity. Higher states of consciousness are so different from them.
We are habitually conditioned to identify ourselves as a mind and emotions. Our ego skillfully hides itself and we are clueless about its influence.
The awakening person may feel confused, vulnerable or afraid. Counseling may be sought to bear the burden of this lonely journey within.
Depression and fear will also accompany it as the old skin of our beliefs and opinions collide with a growing inner reality.
To be sane and to become whole we must trust the process and learn within the true nature of reality. There is nothing to be afraid of, but our ego will use the illusion of fear and loss of control to hinder us.
Everyone fears the unknown and unseen at times in their life, some carry childhood trauma, past life trauma and maybe adult trauma. Fear is a powerful deterrent to self-discovery and healing.
Healing is a slow process, but patient and kind to yourself.
Healing is on the way!
