Because of programming and incorrect ideas people try to create lives crafted in their imagination that are not there true selves.
This happens because they do not know themselves and are afraid to look into themselves to find themselves.
A life solely built on programming and imagination will eventually crumble and not stand the test of time. It is against the nature of evolution in consciousness.
When a person survives a crisis or an unexpected loss of identity they can choose to imagine another or begin a serious journey of self investigation and discovery.
The question will arise. Where do I begin?
The answer to that question will depend on if you have learned the lesson in your crisis and begun to see the perfection hidden in the events of it.
Nothing happens in our life by chance and hidden beneath all the fear and emotion is a plan waiting to be discovered.
The first lesson in recovery is acceptance and the second is you never had to be anyone other than who you are.
You never had to become what all the other egos said that you had to.
You have a hidden life and purpose and now is the time to discover it and live again.
When we accept our life entirely and realize that everything happens perfectly as its supposed to it lifts off the burden of having to prove yourself or become someone.
It does take humility, honesty and a change of view of our life.
You realize that you are perfect, your life is perfect and everything is as it was meant to be.
If we will follow our uncertainty it will reveal within it the higher purpose and plan for our lives.
