When we forgive someone or ourselves often a residual emotion will remain.
A distrust or a regret of our actions.
Complete forgiveness has no emotion.
The slate is wiped clean and the memory does not remain.
It is understood in us that what happened happened for a purpose and it was a test of our ability to forgive.
Do we still hold onto grudges? Do we still justify our ego? Are we always in the right?
