To the religious person everlasting life is a destination to be believed in.
It is a reward for living a life based on beliefs and believing them.
To the awakened person it is more than a belief, but a conscious realization.
It is the final destination of our awakening.
An awakened soul experiences the reality hidden by time and space.
Consciously they transcend them from believing into knowing.
This knowing is a conscious revelation of both the essence and the destination of our awakening.
We do not believe anymore what we know, but through experience we now know what we believed.
