Each of us were born into a conditioned environment. We were taught what to believe and what to think. Our lives were simple as long as we obeyed the rules.
Some of us were born into loving families and others of us may have been born into a living hell. Most of us were somewhere in between. Our parents did the best they could and wanted to protect us against the harsher realities of living.
Call this ignorance, call this innocence, our journey into conscious liberation is painful at times as we realize what we believed and were taught was not true.
Most of us learned by trial and error, some learned quickly, and others never learned. This is not a judgement, just a reality as many will repeat over and over the same mistakes.
In the end some will try to escape their painful reality and others will choose to deeply investigate their life and who they are. For one it is the beginning of the liberation from old beliefs and for others a decent into a hellish denial of reality.
Our lives are one big karmic lesson where each critical event is meant to correct the course we are on by conditioning onto a unique individual path of our own.
Mentally and emotionally, we will be tested at times to question our beliefs. Our mind and ego will remind us how unfair life is.
Our life is just, but in a karmic way. We are given a choice and an illusion of freedom to go our own way. Our conditioning makes this path very attractive to us, it will promise great happiness and rewards if we just believe and obey, but they never do bring the rewards.
We are like dogs chasing their tails hoping to catch them, but never will. It is all very exhausting and meant to be.
Somewhere and at some time in our life we have to begin a serious looking at its meaning. Why am I here? Who am I? What does it all mean?
It is at this point that the journey back to our true or original self can begin.
Our journey within is very simple, but years of conditioning and lifetimes of lessons stand between the person we want to become and the person that we are. To embrace the new, we must learn to release the old and it can be done by everyone.
