Headed In The Wrong Direction

US Moral Decay

Today watching the news it struck me that the country and world we have created is headed in the wrong direction.

I am speaking particularly of the revelations made from the release of the Jeffrey Epstein documents and his clients.

If you remember, he died in jail suspiciously after being arrested for using underage girls for sexual favors to his wealthy clients.

How far we have fallen.

Some people with power, wealth and fame feel they need a new thrill or sexual excitement. Unable to find contentment in their possessions they seek to corrupt the innocent or ignorant soul.

Wealth, Power and Fame are not evil in themselves, but it depends on what part of us controls them. Are they gained to serve a starving ego or has their purpose come from a higher realization within us.

What is clear that the end result for some of those who have achieved wealth, power and fame do not experience what they hoped they would find. An ego run amuck and out of control seeks desires that can debase us morally. We can become consumed with wanton desires and insatiable lusts of the flesh.

This is no way to find the good in us.

There is good in all of us, but also a door into darkness, controlling behavior, fear and hatred. It is a choice and the universe will not judge us if we take the dark direction, but the results are not the same.

Humanity has hid for centuries behind moral beliefs that hide the path within to our goodness and guarantee a slide into darkness. This may be surprising to some, but we may have unconsciously chosen a dark path into awareness by reaping what we have sown.

To find the goodness within us we must look higher within.
