There are great truths in the bible, but in reading it we can become lost in our imagination and miss the key points of it.
Without awareness, these truths can remain hidden from us forever.
Instead of deep and profound realizations we will romanticize and hope that we can aspire to reach such lofty aspirations through our minds.
The problems with the bible are multiple :
It condemns us as sinners and promotes guilt, we see ourselves as unworthy.
It makes God and Christ projections of what we think is the truth.
It projects our “evil behavior” into Satan and we can deny responsibility for it.
It says we need a savior and cannot save ourselves, making us victims.
It gives the impression that God is bipolar with human qualities.
It conditions us to see things only in the writer’s view.
It effectively promotes mind control.
It can be misleading and inaccurate in describing what the truth is and how it works.
Hidden behind the stories in the bible are hidden some great truths.
Forgiveness is essential to our healing, of ourselves and others.
Judgment of ourselves and others stunts conscious growth in awareness.
When we stop blaming others and take full responsibility for our condition we stop being victims and will find true salvation within us without a savior.
We can find the truth for ourselves.
The greatest form of love is a willingness to sacrifice our ego for our higher self and become whole. The price can be steep to attain it.
We have been given the power to heal ourselves, but we must own it.
What Christ taught was not to create fans, but to teach how to remember who we are and find our way home within. This allegory was not expressed accurately in the bible by the writers of it.
