This card, like many tarot cards is deeply symbolic of the true conscious nature of the universe and our place within it.

Emotionally it describes the affection we feel when we connect with someone special in our lives, maybe a true love, but it does not have to be.

The card depicts opposites or duality, what we encounter in our daily lives. Love, for most is the physical and emotional attraction to them.

The children and the robed images above them represent duality, our divided nature. The male and female, black and white races. The different sexes and the difference between thought and feelings.
