Our ego identity ruthlessly refuses to change.
Our mind, emotions, and imagination depend on it.
They cling to it.
They are unable see life beyond our ego.
Such is the case of a person who cannot feel beyond them.
To feel is to begin the process of unshackling the control our ego has over us.
We begin to consciously expand our awareness beyond the boundary created by our mind, ego and imagination.
Suffering brings the humility needed to see that our ego, mind, emotions, and imagination do not always have the answer or direction for us.
Through suffering and patience we learn to trust ourselves.
Humility bridges the gap between our ego identity and the conscious realization of our higher conscious nature.
