I don't know whether or not you've written about this question, but I'll ask it. What kind of knowledge (if any) did Adam and Eve have before the sinned against God? And why is the attainment of knowledge depicted as being such a bad thing? I just don't get that.
In my opinion much of the bible is metaphor or symbolic opinion. It appeases our logic and reasoning, but it does not reveal to us conscious truth. Conscious truth can only come by revelation and that revelation must come from within us.
Deep conscious knowledge is the true revelation of the universe or God, and how we can be in communion with them.
That is something I have often wondered about. Is this what the Buddhists mean by being 'awake'?
it is a reclaiming of our unconscious self. Coming awake is a better description.
